Kiera Gnatz

Past Undergraduate Research Assistant for Skin Tone Identities and Inequalities Project

About

Kiera Gnatz majored in Sociology with a minor in Political Science concentrating on Race & Ethnicity Studies. Her graduating class was 2020.

Kiera enjoyed all of her time working with the project, but she especially enjoyed hearing about participants' life experiences in response to given survey questions. It brought new meaning and life to the theories and research she spent her college career studying.

She says:

My favorite part about working on STiiP was being able to contribute to a study whose outcomes could completely transform how we conduct research on race, ethnicity, and skin tone based inequalities.

Kiera is currently working as a research assistant for Linchpin International, where she is studying issues of ethics of technology in school and digital literacy for English language learners. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Sociology or Public Policy in the next few years.
